Youth In Action

Reverend Stanley M. Nash, the son of Frank and Evelyn Nash, was born in Leake County, Mississippi, and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is the father of three children, Brandon (Iliana) Jarmon, Erica and Tia Nash and two grandchildren, Gabriel and Alicia. 

Reverend Nash is a graduate of South Division High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He continued his education at Waukesha Community Technical College in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. In 2008 he attended the ITC Morehouse School of Theology’s, in Atlanta, Georgia, satellite program at Bethlehem Baptist Church (Bethlehem) (College Place) in Columbia, South Carolina, while under the tutelage and leadership of Reverend Dr. Anthony A. McCallum. At the completion of this program, Reverend Nash received a Certificate of Theology, and was the class Valedictorian. He preached his initial sermon at Bethlehem (College Place) on August 29, 2010, thereafter, a license to preach the Gospel Certificate of License was issued to Reverend Nash by Reverend Dr. Anthony A. McCallum. In addition, after completing a Catechism class in 2012 at Bethlehem (College Place) in Columbia, South Carolina through the Gethsemane Baptist Association, he received a Certificate of Catechism. Reverend Nash was ordained on March 18, 2018. 

In May of 1999, Reverend Nash was baptized at Good Aim Missionary Baptist Church in Elgin, South Carolina where he began his spiritual journey. He was a committed and faithful worker under the leadership of Reverend Willie C. Simons and served as an usher, trustee, Vice President of the Male Auxiliary, Sunday School Teacher and Assistant Superintendent. 

Later in 2006, Reverend Nash changed his membership to Bethlehem (College Place) in Columbia, South Carolina where he has remained passionate and committed to teaching and studying God’s Word while under the spiritual leadership of Reverend Dr. Anthony A. McCallum. His duties at Bethlehem are many, as he teaches Bible Study and is the advisor of Sunday school classes for the Adult, and Young Adult Ministries. In addition, he serves on the scholarship committee, raising money for rising high school seniors, and was also instrumental in the success of the University of South Carolina Summer Feeding Program, in which 1200 bags of nonperishable food items were donated. In January 2020, Rev. Nash was elected as youth pastor by Bethlehem Baptist Church, College Place to engage our youth in a relationship with God to equip them to grow their faith in Jesus Christ and to enjoy and share God’s love. 

In November 2020, Rev. Nash was assigned as advisor to the Mental Health Ministry. The inception of this ministry allows church members and members of the community an opportunity to discuss emotional and psychological trauma. In January 2022, Sunday morning studies with the young adults was implemented to provide open and candid discussion of God’s word and its’ relevance to their everyday life experiences. 

Reverend Nash has a burning desire to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. He has received a higher calling to preach the gospel to all mankind. His favorite passage of Scripture is: 

“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15 

We are striving to engage them in a relationship with God, equip them to grow their faith, and to share God’s love.
