God’s Diamonds In The Rough Ladies Cancer Ministry

Purpose: BBC Women’s Cancer Ministry. We’re a faith-based support group specifically designed to provide comfort, encouragement, and a sense of community for women affected by cancer – whether they are patients, survivors, caregivers, or family members supporting loved ones.

We understand the profound challenges a cancer diagnosis brings, impacting not only the individual facing the illness but also their entire support network. Our ministry aims to alleviate some of that burden by offering a safe and compassionate space where women can connect with others who truly understand. We share experiences, offer prayers, and provide a listening ear without judgment. Our gatherings are built on a foundation of faith, drawing strength from scriptures like Ephesians 6:10-18 (“Put on the whole armor of God”) and Romans 8:37 (“In all things we are more than conquerors”), We walk by Faith ( 2 Corinthians 5:7) reminding us of the resilience of the human spirit and the power of faith in overcoming adversity. We believe that shared faith, combined with mutual support, can significantly enrich the journey.

Our monthly meetings, held on the fourth Saturday of each month, provide a relaxed setting for fellowship, sharing personal stories (if comfortable), and prayer. We are inclusive and welcome women facing all types of cancer. The ministry is led by a dedicated team of compassionate women: Barbara Gallman, LaVon Ross, Minister Lottie Brown, Mary Robinson, Donna Boyd, Monica Moses,
