Reverend Dr. Anthony A. McCallum

Chief Servant

A proud product of the state of North Carolina, Reverend Dr. Anthony A. McCallum, Pastor of the Bethlehem Baptist Church Columbia, South Carolina, hails from the small town of Maxton, North Carolina, where he developed a love and sense of compassion for others. As a child, he exemplified a spirit of devotion for God. He was known for his gift of singing as a young boy on the choir. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at the tender age of 12. He later knew that singing was not a substitute for the calling upon his life. Reverend McCallum accepted his call to preach the gospel at the age of 21. Under the guidance of Reverend Dr. James McClain of the Star of Bethlehem, Laurinburg, N.C. Reverend McCallum’s first pastoral assignment was at the St. John Baptist Church for several years. Pastor McCallum was later appointed to serve the historic “Morris Chapel Baptist Church” in Greenwood, SC. Both St. John Baptist and Morris Chapel grew numerically and spiritually. In January 2002, Reverend McCallum accepted God’s new divine assignment as the Bethlehem Baptist Church Family confirmed God’s appointment and called him as its 13th Pastor. Because of his anointing gift of teaching and preaching, Bethlehem Baptist has grown tremendously. Reverend McCallum is the recipient of many honors and awards. Reverend McCallum has preached all over the country in revivals, conferences, and conventions.

He’s known as the little man with the “Big Voice.” Reverend McCallum is married to the former Angela Holland for over 26 years. They are the proud parents of two children, Tiffany and Anthony II, and one grandson, Titus. Reverend McCallum’s ministry is best accurately describe in Matthew 23:11, “But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.”
